Activia Yoghurts
I don’t usually buy anything from a television advert, to be honest I rarely watch mainstream television, let alone see the adverts, however I noticed the advert for the Activia Yoghurts the other day. Housewives sitting in their kitchens, explaining the benefits of these yoghurts. One happened to mention that they’d had a lot of stomach problems and the yoghurts seemed to clear it all up. Okay, probably an actress, and why are there never any men in these ads? Dave eats at least 8 of these a week!
Anyhow, I’ve suffered at lot with my stomach (which I put down to my overweightness) for about the past 6 years. A doctor once told me to just eat more fibre and I’d be fine. I know I’m not getting enough fibre (there’s a way to simply tell but it involves the toilet so I won’t go into detail!) but I also can’t see where else I can get it from besides taking tablets - I eat high fibre cereal, bran flakes at present. I eat fruit, salad and veg. I eat wholegrain bread when I eat bread. I’ve not sat and added it all up as I know it’s not enough but I also can’t see where else to look. So I decided I’d give these yoghurts a go and see if they helped. Just one a day (when I remember). I’ve tried the raspberry ones so far, have to say they’re much like Muller Corner yoghurts except the fruit is at the bottom instead of on the side! So my plan for the next month or two is to have one of these yoghurts a day and see if it improves my stomach pains and aches that I get about once a fortnight or even once or twice a week.
