Diet and Exercise

So you’re probably wondering where the diet posts are considering this blog is meant to be about my battle to lose weight, as opposed to a blog on recipes. Sorry the recipes seem to pull the visitors in! Anyhow, with work being as busy as it has been, and my mind just not focused properly, I’ve not been properly dieting, just trying to eat healthily. However that’s not working as I’ve still put on far too much weight since May. I honestly don’t know where it’s come from. We’ve spent this summer eating lots of salad and plenty of fruit.

So I decided the other day to at least kick start my diet with something easy to fit into my busy life and give me the motivation to keep going. Yesterday I started the Special K Diet. The one where you eat a bowl of Special K for breakfast and lunch and then have a well balanced meal for dinner. This is done for 2 weeks only, so even though I wouldn’t agree with the diet as I don’t think a bowl of cereal can give you everything your body needs, for 2 weeks it’s not too long to really cause issues. Heck I’d do the Atkins for 2 weeks if I could manage to not eat fruit all week (just not possible!).

Anyhow, so I’m going to give this one a try and see how it goes. Of course my evening meals will soon be the controlling aspect of whether it’s successful or not, but I hope to get some exercise in too which will hopefully help as well. I’ll keep you posted :)
