Well really just over half way through week one to be fair. I started on Tuesday. I’ve actually not done the diet properly (I hear you all moan), nope Special K is too sweet to be eaten twice in a day, plus I need more fibre in my diet so I’ve opted for the Weetabix Crunchy Bran cereal for breakfast first thing, and then a bowl of Special K for lunch. For evening meals we’ve had
Tuesday: Half a Salmon en Croute and oven baked smoked haddock, pasta and a cheese sauce (4% fat cheese)
Wednesday: Chicken Chowmein (home cooked, not takeaway!), onion, spring onion and pepper
Thursday: Roasted Plaice, veg and pan fried scallops with fresh baguette
Friday: Steak burgers plus Angel Delight after (well you have to have a little treat now and then)
So my evening meals have alternatived fish and meat (which I want to keep doing) and been fairly healthy too. In fact yesterday I didn’t stick to my diet as I never ate breakfast or lunch. I didn’t realise until I’d gone to bed and thought about it. I knew I’d missed lunch as I was a bit deep into my work at the time, but I completely forgot I’d not had breakfast either! However I am now starting to feel fuller quicker, and despite not eating all day when I had dinner last night I started to feel full after only 3/4 of the meal. Of course the mentality in my head says force it down which I did, but thinking about it today I need to learn to say no, I’ve had enough and I’m not going to be greedy. Afterall it’s not like it’s my last meal. And then next time I just don’t give myself as much food. I’ve also tried to start giving myself smaller portions as well, and ensuring that there’s no more to eat afterwards. If I do want to snack then a yoghurt or fruit is in order.
So far I feel pretty good. I’ve not been on the trampette yet however I intend to start today and will hopefully go on it each morning. This past week has been a bit of a blur due to work deadlines, but that should finish this weekend and so next week I’m hoping to be under less pressure. On the menu tonight is whole roasted Sea Bass and hopefully stuffed peppers if I can find something to stuff them with!
So the final figures. On Tuesday I weighed X,5 stone, and today I weighed X,1 stone. So 4lbs lost so far, 1 for each day. That’s a bit quick as far as I’m concerned, however it is the initial weight which does tend to go quicker anyway. It should stabilise by the end of this week.

Well keep it up Sarah! It is always hard to get into a routine that is out of the norm, but as long as no quick gains are expected I would think some good results will be found
Keep us updated!

Yep it’s the routine that’s the hardest part. Especially with the lack of good weather to get out on the bikes these days.
Still even if it’s a slow process, providing pounds are lost I don’t care
