New Kitchen Gadgets
Well not quite gadgets as such but two items I’ve been looking for and finally found. After having a look around Lakeland’s website as we’re off to Chester on Wednesday and there is a store there, I couldn’t see what I wanted. Then I turned to a closer shop called The Professional Cookware Co.. There’s a shop located at the nearest McArthur Glen outlet (Cheshire Oaks) which is about five minutes away from us. After a look over their site (I could spend a fortune there!!!) I found both a Pestle & Mortar and the Drum Grater I’d been looking for. The Pestle & Mortar priced reasonably and a pure metal drum grater, perfect for fine grating. I first saw the latter in a restaurant and thought it looked great for Parmesan and also quite professional.
Anyhow, so found the goods, £4.95 standard fee for orders. Not a bad price and considering the weight of the Pestle & Mortar it would have been a worthwhile fee! However we took a trip down to Cheshire Oaks yesterday and found the shop had relocated to a larger unit and had both of what we wanted so we bought them there and then. Now we can finally get the dried chillies crushed and maybe have some fun crushing some herbs and spices and see what we can come up with
The only downside? It’s very heavy and I can barely lift it with one hand!!
I highly recommend the Professional Cookware site. They’ve got knive sets at less than half price, various culinary gadgets and kitchenware. You never know what you may find ![]()
