First Picks from the Garden

Lettuce Besides the herbs, which I pick as and when needed, today was the first day we actually picked some fresh food from the garden. Despite the naff weather our lettuce and rocket have been growing quite happily under the mini polytunnel I set up. The little gems are still growing however the rocket, mixed leaf and spicy salad leaves were all ready for picking, so I took a bowl out and grabbed some to go with our steak dinner.

You can’t beat the taste of fresh lettuce with a gorgeous steak to go with it!
