Icecream

Belgian Chocolate Icecream My favourite Icecream… No contest – Haagen Dazs Belgian Chocolate. I could eat this until the cows come home (and make more for me!). I’ve not found anything that matches it or even comes close. Whilst some of the other Haagen Dazs icecreams are good, and better than standard ones, the taste of this flavour is just unbeatable.

This icecream is sold in all major supermarkets however it can be touch and go as to whether it’s available or not, especially when it’s on sale. It’s usually around £3.69 however you can often get good deals on Haagen Dazs for either 2 for £5 or 3 for 2. It’s a bit dangerous buying more than one tub though!

It’s also available as a mini tub (100ml) or a mid size can be found in some cinemas (around 200ml I think). Perfect for watching a film with.

Of course this type of icecream can’t factor in a weekly diet as it’s laden with calories. So for a low fat icecream you can’t beat Carte D’or Vanilla Light (why do low fat icecreams only exist in Vanilla flavour?!). This is a nice creamy tasting vanilla icecream which is great to satisfy those icecream cravings. This has less than 5% fat.

Unfortunately I’ve only ever found it in the Waitrose local to my parents which is frustrating as there’s no way I could get any of it home without it melting during the 3.5 hour journey! This costs around £2-£2.50 for 900ml tub, so it’s cheaper than Haagen Dazs with less fat and calories!
