Buying Cookware and Utensils
I must admit I love looking at kitchen gadgets and cookware. I try not to be one of those people who buy a kitchen gadget and then never use it, although sometimes you may simply not have a chance to use something often. I’ve not had a chance to try out my Nicer Dicer yet, however I will at some point this week. I can see that being used when needed, and it just depends on what’s happening as to how often it will be used. Our George Foreman grill is used constantly, so much so I still want to get the newer model with the removable plates to make cleaning it easier. It cooks food so much quicker, heats up quicker, and of course allows the oil to drain off better too.
I get one kitchen utensil/cookware catalogue through the post, probably wise else I’d want to spend more than I have! This catalogue is from the Professional Cookware Co. and to get their catalogue delivered for free sign up on their site for it. Luckily I happen to live near an outlet for this company, as they have a shop in the Cheshire Oaks retail park which I live about 5 minutes from. We’ve bought a few things from them in the past, a Pestle and Mortar, which is used on a weekly basis to ground the garlic down for garlic butter, a Parmesan grater - used when we have Parmesan!, a knife block for a set of knives we’d bought, and a few others bits such as baking trays.
The summer catalogue just dropped through the door this week and they’ve got a few really cheap reductions on items such as BBQ equipment, a set of 5 knives plus the block for just £40, and plenty of other things that I’d love to get but can’t justify or afford right now! However if you like shopping for the Kitchen then I recommend you get their free catalogue and find the nearest store local to you. I’ve never had to order online as the shop seems to always have what I want ![]()

I am one for buying kitchen gadgets as well. Whenever Lakeland bring out new kitchen catalogues I always find myself reading them from cover to cover.
Mind you I have not been tempted by the banana guard - what on earth does a banana need guarding from?
Ooo I love Lakeland too. We have a shop down in Chester which is handy. I’ve already decided I want a pasta maker after seeing how easy it is to make fresh pasta, and also a citrus press since getting rid of my juicer.
See, more gadgets on the shopping list!!
