Food ‘n Drink

Last week we went to Scotland for a few days away. One evening we had dinner at the Solway Lodge in Gretna. To be honest it was the only meal where everything we ordered they had! The previous two nights we’d been met with comments of ‘oh we’ve run out of that’. Dinner at the Solway Lodge was very good and highly recommended. I personally had the King Prawns in chilli sauce, Grilled Halibut and Chocolate cake (well I was on holiday!). Dave had Haggis for his starter, a round of Haggis on top of a potato Rosti. I’ve never had Haggis before but I tried a little of his and to be fair it wasn’t too bad. It’s quite rich in taste, but definitely a winter warmer over a light summer meal!

I doubt I could eat much of it however, mainly because of its texture and how rich and heavy it is. Still, it’s one more thing tried and tasted!
