Ordered three-piece oriental knife set, on June 28, 2010. Paid additional to have shipped in 3-5 days.

Today is July 13, 2010. I have not received my order as of this date.

E-mailed company 3 days ago, still have not received a reply….what’s going on?

I have been buying various products from Jean Patrique for a number of years, and never had difficulties (except for a late delivery I am chasing now!).

I have a full set of kitchen knives which are used daily (had them for approx 5 years), and they are very good quality – weighty and long-lasting. Yes, they need sharpening – as do all good knives! When in a butchers or a professional kitchen you see guys with a steel all the time – get a decent steel, and I suspect these knives will last a lifetime.

I ordered the discount set of three knives a couple of weeks ago; I made no other purchase. Having placed my order, I confess I began to wonder whether it was a scam. However the knives arrived and they seem pretty good. They are sharp enough, good quality, and well balanced. Naturally I have no idea how they will perform after a few months use; but, if they become dull, I imagine they can be sharpened on a steel or stone. Certainly not a scam.

Sorry to hear that but you do realise this is a personal blog and I have nothing to do with the company in question?! Try reading my post and comments before making flippant and waste of time remarks.

Contact the company, use a bit of common sense instead of moaning about it here.

I purchased a set of these knives about 8 months ago. All I can say is they are the best quality knives that I own. I use them daily and they are brilliant. I purchased them via a Daily Mail advert.

Hi Sam, I’m sorry to hear you’ve not received your order. I’ve purchased 3 sets of knives from this company over the last few years and never had a problem, all 3 sets were received. I assume you’ve contacted the company to chase up your purchase? It’s not the case, or at least hasn’t been the case that you have to purchase anything else to receive the offer. Things, of course, may have changed since my last purchase.

If they have charged you for your order then you definitely need to chase them. If you have an order acknowledgement then I would forward that on to them and ask them where it is.

I ordered a set of knives 6 months ago, got an acknowledgment but no knives.
I suspect that if you order these knives without ordering something else, don’t try to hold your breath for them to arrive.
