Hey Sally, sorry completely forget to reply to this! Cheers for letting me know about your blog. Your list looks quite comprehensive too :) Seasonal fruit and veg definitely depends on the country and even on the region. What will be ready and out down South may take longer up North. Everything is an estimate until you try it out for yourself :)

Good luck with your year of eating seasonally too :)

hey there, you can always go visit my blog too - I've got a list of what's in season when :D

mind you I'm always changing it - what with global warming and my little discoveries from growing my own (like that chard is in season from February onwards) the stuff you find in books isn't always accurate.

also - careful with labels, sometimes they're in very small print. Salad leaves are terrible like that - even though they're in season in the UK, you find "produce of more than one country" written in teeny-tiny letters somewhere down the bottom.

I love eating seasonally the more I do it - my mission for this year is to eat with the seasons for the whole year (you can read about it on theyearofeatingseasonally.wordpress.com). I thought it might be boring, especially at this time of year - but no, loving it! :D

love your blog, too - keep up the good work!

Yeah I know what you mean. This page I found (admittedly on the red tractor site ahem) seems quite comprehensive. Of course, we can't grow everything in this country and some food works better when it's been picked for a while (bananas for example) but others just don't (asparagus, peas).
