		<description>Hi, finally a breakthrough with one of the major food labels.  If only the rest would follow suit.  Its a real shame that Tesco shareholders voted for the dividends and not the animal welfare.  Maybe in time!

I think intensive farming is horrible.  Battery hens for instance are kept in disgraceful conditions where the hens have no room to move around and have to trample on each other just to feed.

Whilst I am no activist and don&#039;t agree with activism - I do feel we can help.  I have set up a site that allows people to donate to good causes in the UK to help minmise these cruel acts.

Indeed, I hope one day we can assume everything IS free range, but alas we will probably all be self sufficient before that day comes. Maybe that is a good thing... at least we know where the food is coming from.
